About the event

Join Bhanu Patel, Ayurvedic Practitioner and founder of Soma Ayurved, for a hands-on seasonal cooking experience rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda.

In this class, we’ll explore how to nourish and balance the body during the summer season with a simple, sattvic meal designed to cool excess heat and support digestion. Together, we’ll prepare a classic Khichari made with basmati rice, split mung dal, and ghee—light, grounding, and deeply restoring.

We’ll also make Ravaiya, a delicious summer vegetable dish featuring stuffed baby eggplant, and complete the meal with a refreshing Takra, a traditional Ayurvedic remedy for digestive balance in warmer months. As we cook, Bhanu will share Ayurvedic insights on summer routines (Ritucharya), the role of Agni (digestive fire), and the healing properties of common kitchen spices. You’ll leave with the knowledge and inspiration to integrate Ayurvedic cooking into your daily life.
